Patient Care Technician
Course Description
Patient Care Technicians are health professionals who provide direct patient care within their regulated scope of practice. They perform basic nursing assistant tasks (as delegated by the nursing or medical staff) which may include obtaining patient vital signs and other data, and performing ECG’s and phlebotomy tasks.

Cost: $3,200* with most supplies included
*Monthly payment plans available
*Students are required to cover the cost of disposable examination gloves, a blood pressure monitoring kit, hand watch, and pink and gray scrubs to wear to each class.

Prerequisites
High School Diploma or GED
9th grade reading level
CNA course (certification not mandatory)
Immunizations
Hepatitis B
Negative TB skin test
Grades
Students must complete each class with an overall grade of 75% or higher to continue to complete the course and receive a certificate of completion.

Certifications
National Certification examination cost through the National Center for Competency Testing is not included in the tuition cost.
