Mr. Morin brings 17 years of experience as a firefighter/EMT and as a high school mathematics and science teacher. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science and mathematics from Eastern Michigan University, a master’s degree in education and numerous other firefighting certifications including fire officer and leadership certifications.

Mr. Brett Halsey

Mr. Halsey is the IA for the Firefighting and Law Enforcement programs. His experience includes more than 27 years with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office as a Sergeant and Chief Training Officer in the Corrections Division. Mr. Halsey also worked as a Campus Safety Officer for Baker College for three years. Mr. Halsey graduated from East Jackson High School, and attended Kellogg Community College and Jackson Community College studying Criminal Justice. He is also a certified MHSAA Baseball Official and has spent nearly a decade coaching high school baseball and football.
